Your faith shouldn't be private
saying your faith is “private” is an oxymoron
Your relationship with Jesus is private. Praying behind closed doors, crying out to him, thanking Him in the silent moments. Wrestling with relationships, crises, burdens.
He holds you personally, tenderly, and lovingly. You have His undivided attention.
Your faith, springing forth from that intimate relationship, should not be private. it was never meant to be.
"Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven" (Matthew 10:32)
it should be obvious that you know Jesus. In words and action.
Faith heals. Faith provides. Faith moves mountains.
Your faith can spring forth someone else’s.
Are you ashamed? Embarrassed? Afraid of man?
Jesus said to go and make disciples of all nations.
How do we do that if we keep our faith to ourselves?
Faith is meant to be fruitful and evident. You live it out daily. This is how we take up our cross.
Faithfulness is a fruit of the spirit and Jesus explicitly told us that people will know us by our fruits.
(Matthew 7)
As the book of James says, faith without works is dead. Your belief in Jesus, without any living proof to back up that belief, is completely idle.
“You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that—and shudder.”
James 2:19
“If you love me, keep my commandments” John 14:15
If your faith is in Jesus, live like it.
