A mother and her Child

Isn't it beautiful how God chose to offer us a Savior in the most human and humble way?
Our Savior was once a crying baby who could only be comforted by His mother's touch.
He was comforted by her, yet that could not compare to the comfort of His presence upon others.
The Father held her and she held His Son.
As she trusted God, God trusted her.
to raise His Son
to love His Son
to teach His Son
She treasured all of this.
Her child, born in an inn, lying in a manger surrounded by hay and animals
The most untraditional circumstance.
Yet, she treasured all of this.
She watched Him grow.
She heard Him laugh the laugh that was unique to Him.
She comforted Him when he had scrapes on his knees,
not knowing that it would not even begin to compare to His future pain.
How human, yet how divine?
The Savior of this world was once someone's child.
Now, He is my whole being.
